Richard is a freelance editor based in Glasgow and available for work globally.

He is a highly versatile editor and is comfortable across broadcast and film post-production environments and editing systems. Having started his career in feature film VFX editing, Richard has an excellent eye for detail and is comfortable handling VFX and motion graphics heavy projects. Richard is used to high profile client attended work. He works efficiently and with creative flair and always delivers to the highest of standards.

Richard has worked extensively on both Avid Media Composer and Final Cut Pro alongside a host of other VFX and grading packages (incl. Baselight, After Effects, Motion)

Richard’s experience ranges from handling IMAX VFX edits for The Dark Knight, working on Oscar and Razzie winning films in the same year (The Queen and Basic Instinct 2) to creating motion graphics for cash machines (NCR) and includes working with most major current film and video formats.

Richard has edited for clients including the BBC, BAFTA, NatWest, HMV, The Cabinet Office, and VFX edited on features for Warner Brothers, Universal Pictures, 20th Century Fox and a selection of independents.

Richard was nominated for a BAFTA Scotland new talent award (here) for the music video 'Lies' by Broken Records.

Richard has also worked as a web and graphic designer.
